Terms of Service

Last updated 21 October 2026

These terms govern your use of Crazy Verse at crazyverse.in, run by Tanay Toshniwal (“we”, “us”). By using the site, creating an account or subscribing to the newsletter you agree to them. If you do not agree, please do not use the site. Our Privacy Policy explains how we handle personal data and forms part of these terms.

1. What Crazy Verse is

Crazy Verse is a practice-first hub for self-taught musicians: free browser-based tools (a tabs generator, a metronome, a music theory visualizer and a tanpura), lessons and articles, and an email newsletter. The tools run in your browser, need no installation and are free to use without an account.

2. Accounts

  • You create an account by signing in with Google. You must be at least 18 years old to create an account or subscribe to the newsletter; younger visitors may use the free tools without an account.
  • You are responsible for the security of the Google account you sign in with. Tell us promptly if you believe someone else has used your Crazy Verse account.
  • One person, one account. Do not create accounts for others or share yours.
  • You can delete your account at any time from Settings. Deletion is immediate and permanent.
  • We may suspend or delete an account that breaks these terms, abuses the service, or has been inactive for a very long time, giving notice where reasonable.

3. Free tools and future paid plans

The core tools are free and we intend to keep them free. We may in future offer a paid membership (“Crazy Verse Pro”) for extras such as cloud-saved presets, high-resolution or batch exports, guided practice plans and similar features. If we do, the price, billing period, what is included, how to cancel and the refund terms will be shown clearly before you pay, and the following will apply:

  • Subscriptions renew automatically until cancelled. You can cancel at any time; access continues to the end of the period already paid for.
  • Prices may be set per region and may change with notice before your next renewal. Taxes are included or shown at checkout as the law requires.
  • Payments are handled by third-party processors; we do not store card or bank details.
  • Refunds are given where required by law, where a paid feature was unavailable for a sustained period, or at our discretion. Partial periods are otherwise not refunded.

4. Your content

Tabs, arrangements, presets and other material you create with the tools remain yours. By saving content to your account you give us the limited licence needed to store and display it back to you, and, if you choose to publish it where that becomes possible, to display it to others.

When publishing is available, you may only publish original work or public-domain material. Transcriptions of copyrighted songs are not permitted. We respond to infringement notices under the Information Technology Act, 2000 and the US DMCA: email us with the work, the location on the site and your contact details, and we will remove the material and notify the person who posted it. Repeated infringers lose publishing rights.

5. Our content

The site design, code, lessons, articles, original tabs, exports in our brand style, and the Crazy Verse name and logo are owned by us or our licensors and protected by copyright and trademark law. You may read, link to and share our pages, and use tool exports for your own practice, teaching and non-commercial sharing with credit. You may not copy articles or lessons wholesale, resell exports, scrape the site, or use our name or logo to suggest endorsement.

6. Acceptable use

  • Do not attempt to break, overload, probe or bypass the security of the site, its rate limits or its sign-in.
  • Do not use automated tools to create accounts, or subscribe addresses you do not own.
  • Do not upload or publish anything unlawful, hateful, harassing or that infringes someone else’s rights.
  • Do not use the site to spam or to collect other people’s data.

7. Newsletter and email

By creating an account, or by subscribing and confirming through the form, you agree to receive the Crazy Verse newsletter. Every issue has an unsubscribe link and unsubscribing is immediate. We may also send you service emails about your account, such as security notices or changes to these terms, for as long as you have an account.

8. Third-party services and links

Sign-in is provided by Google and is subject to Google’s terms. Embedded videos come from YouTube. Lessons may link to external sites, including licensed tab and chord libraries and gear retailers; some links may be affiliate links that earn us a commission at no extra cost to you. We do not control third-party sites and are not responsible for their content or practices.

9. Availability and changes

Crazy Verse is run by one person in their spare time. We aim for the site to be available and accurate but do not promise it will be uninterrupted, error-free or that any feature will stay the same. We may change, suspend or retire features at any time. Where a change materially reduces something you have paid for, we will tell you in advance and offer a proportionate refund.

10. Disclaimer and limitation of liability

The site, tools and content are provided “as is” for educational and practice purposes. The metronome, tuner-like features and theory tools are aids, not professional instruments; verify anything important yourself. To the fullest extent permitted by law, we exclude all warranties and are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, lost data in your browser, or any amount greater than what you paid us in the twelve months before the claim (or INR 1,000 if you paid nothing). Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited under applicable law, including under Indian consumer protection law.

11. Governing law and disputes

These terms are governed by the laws of India. Courts in Jaipur, Rajasthan, India have exclusive jurisdiction, except that if you are a consumer in another country you keep any protection and venue rights your local law gives you that cannot be waived. If you have a complaint, email us first; most issues can be resolved quickly without a dispute.

12. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms. The date at the top shows the current version. For material changes affecting account holders we will give notice by email or on the site before they take effect; continuing to use the site after that means you accept the new terms.
